Task: Design a mood-enhancing, portable, and rechargeable lamp suitable for use in various settings like offices, restaurants, and homes.
End result: A compact lamp made of acryl that can be positioned 5 ways. It is portable and comes with a stand that also benefits as its charger using inductive charging. It comes in different colorways that depicts different moods.
Key design decisions: Size, The lamp should be compact enough for easy portability but large enough to provide sufficient lighting. Shape, oval and round like an egg. I explored the tilt and balance of the lamp using an egg to find the correct weight where the lamp would balance around its axis without tipping over.
